Seminar on drugs in sport instead of dope tests at WRC 2013

Due to unforeseen circumstances the IRF will no longer be doing drug tests at the 2013 World Rafting Champs.

IRF smallest logo“This is extremely disappointing for the IRF as this had been a goal set for quite some time. Its an important step to take if we want rafting to be taken seriously in the sporting world.” says IRF Secretary, Sue Liell-Cock.

Testing is already confirmed and set up to happen at WRC 2014 in Brasil as well as for WRC 2015 in Indonesia.

Seminar

  • There will, however, be a seminar on the 20th of November at 8pm at the Waiariki Institute (head quarters of the WRC event) which will be aimed at educating the paddlers as well as their coaches, managers, judges and any others who have a vested interest in knowing more about drug testing and what to be aware of.
