“The quick-release harness on a rescue PFD is an important advancement in swiftwater safety” says Jim Coffey of R3 – Rescue for Riverrunners. It allows you to tow a canoe or kayak and to perform “live bait” rescues in which the rescuer jumps into the water to pull a paddler to safety.

A tribute to Kula – Rafting Team Kula has been developing since 1995 when Kula himself founded the Vidra Water Sports Club in order to promote rafting as a sport and form of recreation. Since 1998 members of KŠV Vidra have been Croatian representatives at European and World Championship and Cup races.

Registration deadline is 31 st July – that’s 2 days away!!!!

World Cup event in Indonesia this November!

Central Java will be hosting an R6 World Cup event on the Serayu River from the 27 Nov to the 1 December.

Pre-Worlds in Brasil cancelled!

Due to too few teams being able to attend the Pre-Worlds in Brasil this September the event has had to be cancelled.

With travel being so expensive this year and next year for most teams, getting to Pre-Worlds has proven to be a penny too far.

Teams and member federations wanting to compete at World Rafting Champs need to check they comply with ALL the IRF Rules.
