How to get there: Either drive by car from Oslo or Trondheim (approx. 3,5 – 4 hours drive). Both train (www.nsb.no) and bus (www.nor-way.no) are available options. They both depart daily, and stop at Otta (7 km away from the basecamp). Sjoa Raftingsenter NWR (www.sjoaraftingsenter.no) can also arrange with transport to and from Otta for their customers.
River description: Class III and IV. The river is good for rafts, kayaks and river boarding. The river is Norway most famous river for rafting. The river goes in between canyons and is best during the summer when the glaciers are melting, making the river really come alive.
