River Orchy – Bridge of Orchy, Argyll, Scotland
How to get there: Fly to Glasgow. Best to drive but you can catch a train or a bus to Bridge of Orchy where there is a hotel and a bunkhouse but not much more.
River description: Grade 4/5 The River Orchy is a pool drop river that requires heavy rain for a few days prior to making a rafting run. It is probably to most serious rafting river in Scotland and the UK when in full flow and is a very challenging run in these conditions which normally only happen during the months October-March. The river is used by kayakers all year round and the normal run is about 12 miles in length.
