Bobbie Burns Creek/Spillimacheen River

The Bobbie Burns Creek and Spillimacheen River are in British Columbia Canada, Radium Is the closest Town. Class 3/4. The Bobbie Burns is a continuous flow joining the Spillimacheen River it becomes a Pool Drop River with some big holes. Rafters will find it difficult due to the portage around Bobbie Burns Falls (rappelling is the best way around for the raft). Kayakers and bold canoeists can handle the easy scramble around the falls. Bobbie Burns falls is a 35 ft drop that has been run, but I wouldn’t recommend it. There are 2 main sections both about 25 km, the first starts on the Bobbie and joins the Spillimacheen, the second  starts on the upper Spillimacheen and shares the same second half as the first. Access is difficult through a maze of logging roads.
Wakpa Wilderness Adventures IS currently Runing these rivers commercially. For more information check out our website. Wakpa has been in operation for two years with the goal of taking guests down rivers that are chosen for quality not convenience. Wakpas focus is on small groups looking for more of an adventure that a ride.
