Bidding for new events

The first step for bidding for any of our events is to send in an Intention to Bid notice. Once this has been accepted by the S&C Com the latest bid documents will be sent through to you. These need to be returned in full by the date set as the closing date for the bidding.

We are accepting bids for:

  • 2018 World Cup Series events
  • 2018 Continental Champs – Euro, Pan Am and Australasian Champs.
  • 2020 World Rafting Championships. Intention to Bid documents are to be returned to IRF Admin by the 31st Oct. Due date for bids is 31 Dec 2017.

Bidding documents can be read here and need to be read with the Race Rules as well.

World Rafting Champs bidding documents:

  • WRC Reg & Org Criteria ver 4.3 – this is a very crucial document for the bidder to read carefully. This lays out what the IRF is expecting the host to do. It covers technical side, staff, media, communication and many other requirements.
  • Bid_Rx_WRC_20xx.doc – this is the document a bidder completes that gives the IRF all the details of the river, rafts, staff, location, etc.

Euro Champs:

  • Euro Champs Regulations and Organising Criteria – this is a very crucial document for the bidder to read carefully. This lays out what the IRF is expecting the host to do. It covers technical side, staff, media, communication and many other requirements. For those who run big events regularly it is what you would be doing anway. (Please contact IRF admin for this.)
  • Bid_Rx_Euro_Champs_20xx – this is the document a bidder completes that gives the IRF all the details of the river, rafts, staff, location, etc.
