Get involved in the IRF discussion on race rules at the IRF forum. In particular the discussion of the downriver race at Dutch Water Dreams this past week at the Teva Pre-Worlds.
The best way to describe the start of the downriver at the Teva Pre-Worlds was chaos, exiting, heaps of energy and a lot of crashing and bashing. Today’s Slalom started off with some swimming lessons. 3 of the first 6 teams on the track flipped or had swimmers. The course took its toll but as teams watched the earlier teams on the course, they learnt and the swims became less and the times faster.

Today’s sprint and Head to Head races on the track at Dutch Water Dreams was rafting at its best. The competitors liked the course, the start was fair, the track hammered some teams and in the end the race had some good exiting moments. Today was the first day of official practice for the 54 teams that are competing in the Teva Pre Worlds R4 races at the Dutch Water Dreams, Zoetermeer, Netherlands.
